It's All About Debt...

Finishing up...

It is not hard to see the advantages of having everything in one place in a centralized blog; after all, we are all about convenience. When you can go to a site that allows you to visit related subjects, your attention is focused on that site. People want to be entertained, and if the information is not a click away - they will click away - from the site. Having a site that is versatile is the way to have followers, and advertisers like sites that are aggressively followed. I have become very interested in dogs since we got our poodle, and I enjoy sites with training and health tips, gadgets to purchase and spoil, and pictures of puppies and kittens; you can also blog to fellow pet lovers on The Pet Social Networking site: http://www.lovemypets.com/Home.aspx

A podcast can help you with your career in many ways. First, having a podcast displays your technical abilities, and that makes you more marketable in the marketplace. Secondly, potential employers can see your demeanor, how you speak, and your level of confidence about the information you are presenting. This can motivate an employer to interview you for an important position in your field because of your expertise.

It is also important to pay attention to the economy of words in technical communications...so
keep it 'short and tweet'.

This is a nightmare!

I cannot get my video into a format which can be posted to this blog. My computer cannot handle the software downloads and it is unbelievably slow...ugh!!! I keep following these 'rabbit trails' that end up asking me to pay for downloads. I have worked hard for my grades and I am really upset that this course will ruin my GPA!

PODCAST anyone?

OMG! I need to post a podcast to this blog and I am totally hyperventalting! I have been at this for almost 3 hours. I also need to compress my webcam video, and I am exhausted from searching the web on how to get it done. Now if I were in Alabama, my son-in-law, Shawn would teach me how...sure do miss sweet home Alabama right now!

Good news...

Just thought I would blog some good news in this messed up economy. May husband gave me a Kindle last Christmas, and this summer something happened to the screen which made it impossible to use. I did not know how to tell him, so I asked my son-in-law if he knew how to fix it. He said check the warranty...right. Like anything ever gets fixed through a warranty. So I didn't say anything. Then he found it :(
He called them and Kindle had him try a few things, but it was still a mess, so they told him they would replace it. In 3 days it arrived, brand new and updated. They even emailed us a mailing sticker so we did not pay postage to return the old one! They rock! And my husband does too!
I guess I learned a lesson (or 2)!
